حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا رَاشِدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: إِنِّي لَمَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فَقَالَ: «انْظُرُوا هَلْ فِيكُمْ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟» ، فَقَالُوا: لَا، فَقَالَ: «أَحَفِ الْبَابَ» , فَأَغْلَقَ الْبَابَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " ارْفَعُوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ، وَقُولُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ "، فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَرَفَعْنَا أَيْدِيَنَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «ضَعُوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَبْشِرُوا، فَقَدْ غُفِرَ لَكُمْ، إِنِّي بُعِثْتُ بِهَا , وَبِهَا أُمِرْتُ، وَعَلَيْهَا أَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ»
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the house of one of his Companions, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Look, is there any outsider among you?" The people said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Close the door." So the door was closed. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Raise your hands and say: There is none worthy of worship except Allah." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands, and we raised our hands too. Then he said: "Lower your hands and rejoice, for you have been forgiven. I was sent with this word, I was commanded with it, and upon it I will enter Paradise."
