Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7054 — from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub

Through the same chain, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command the Muhajirun and the Ansar to be at the front of the rows, and he would say: "They know the prayer better than the Bedouins and the foolish, and those behind them should follow them; and I do not like the Bedouins to be in front of them when they do not know how the prayer is performed."
