Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7030 — from Sayyiduna Samurah that the Messenger

Through the same chain, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "No road is to be blocked, and no one is to be denied surplus water. The wayfarer is to be lent the bucket, the rope and the trough if he has not brought them himself, and he is to be left free to reach the well so that he can draw water himself. And the digging place is not to be denied when the digger goes down, (leaving) twenty-five cubits as a resting place ('atan) for livestock."
