Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7021 — from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub; he
اُردوEn
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّمَا الْمَرْأَةُ كَالضِّلَعِ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تُقِيمَهَا حَتَّى تَكْسِرَهَا، أَوْ تَتْرُكَهَا وَهِيَ عَوْجَاءُ»
Through the same chain, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him); he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "Woman is like a rib: if you try to straighten her, you will break her; otherwise, leave her with that crookedness."
