حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ السَّمُرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنَا إِذَا أَدْرَكَتْنَا الصَّلَاةُ وَنَحْنُ ثَلَاثَةٌ، أَوْ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ أَنْ يَقُومَ لَنَا رَجُلٌ مِنَّا، فَيَكُونَ لَنَا إِمَامًا، وَإِنْ كُنَّا اثْنَيْنِ أَنْ نُصَفَّ مَعًا»
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us that if the time of prayer came upon us while we were three or more, one man from among us should stand and be our imam, and if we were two, we should form a row together.
