It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, I saw in a dream as if a bucket was lowered from the sky. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came, took hold of its edges and drank a little. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, took hold of its edges until he drank his fill. Then Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) came, took hold of its edges and drank until he drank his fill. Then Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came and took hold of its edges, but it pulled away from him and (the water) splashed.
