Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6925 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: A boy

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، وَالْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْغُلَامُ مُرْتَهَنٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ، يُعَقُّ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ، وَيُسَمَّى، وَيُحْلَقُ رَأْسُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A boy is held in pledge for his aqiqah; the aqiqah is to be offered on his behalf on the seventh day, he is to be given a name, and his head is to be shaved."
