Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6800 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Every boy

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كُلُّ غُلَامٍ رَهِينَةٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ، يُذْبَحُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ، وَيُسَمَّى , وَيُحْلَقُ رَأْسُهُ»
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every boy is held in pledge for his aqiqah; (an animal) should be slaughtered on his behalf on the seventh day, he should be given a name, and his head should be shaved."
