Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6798 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Every boy

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْقَزَّازُ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كُلُّ غُلَامٍ رَهِينَةٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ، يُذْبَحُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ، وَيُحْلَقُ رَأْسُهُ»
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every boy is held in pledge for his aqiqah; (an animal) should be slaughtered on his behalf on the seventh day, and his head should be shaved."
