حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى فِي الْأُولَى، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in the two Eid prayers "Sabbih isma rabbika al-a'la" in the first rak'ah and "Hal ataka hadithu al-ghashiyah" in the second rak'ah.
