حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ غَطَفَانَ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «صَلَّيْتَ؟» قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: «اسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، وَأَخِفَّهُمَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from Ghatafan came on Friday while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Have you prayed?" He said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform two prostrations and keep them short."
