حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، قَالَ: لَمَّا أَنْ نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحِجْرَ قَالَ: «لَا تَشْرَبُوا مِنْ مَائِهِمْ شَيْئًا» فَمِنْهُمْ مِنْ عَجَنَ الْعَجِينَ، وحَاسَ الْحَيْسَ، فَأَلْقَوْهُ
Sayyiduna Sabrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) halted at al-Hijr (the town of Thamud), he said: "Do not drink any of their water." So those who had kneaded dough with that water, or had prepared hays (a mixture of dates and cheese), threw it away.
