Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6326 — I was a boy, and I used to meet

Sayyiduna Amr bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was a boy, and I used to meet the riders coming from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and ask them to recite the Qur'an to me. They told me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let the one of you who knows the most Qur'an lead you in prayer." So I used to lead them in prayer.
