حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: أَيْ عَامِرُ، لَوْ أَسْمَعْتَنَا مِنْ هَنَيَاتِكَ فَنَزَلَ يَحْدُو، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for Khaybar, and a man among the people said: O Amir, if only you would let us hear some of your verses. So he dismounted and began reciting verses to drive the camels on. Then the narrator narrated a hadith similar to the previous one.
