حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّانُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ الْأَكْوَعِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ خَيْبَرَ قَاتَلَ أَخِي قِتَالًا شَدِيدًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَارْتَدَّ عَلَيْهِ سَيْفُهُ، فَقَتَلَهُ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the day of Khaybar my brother fought fiercely alongside the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); then his own sword rebounded on him, and he died of it. Then the narrator narrated the rest of the report similarly, as has passed before.
