حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ وَجَدَ تَمْرًا، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ تَمْرًا، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ، فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ» ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ شُعْبَةُ الرَّبَابَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir al-Dabbi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever finds dates, let him break his fast on them; and whoever does not find dates, let him break his fast on water, for water is purifying."
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Shu'bah did not mention al-Rabab in his narration.
