Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 6158 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَنْدَهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَنْبَسَةَ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ، ثنا مُوسَى الْجُهَنِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ أَطْوَلَ النَّاسِ جُوعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ شِبَعًا فِي الدُّنْيَا، يَا سَلْمَانُ الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَجَنَّةُ الْكَافِرِ»
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The one who will remain hungry the longest on the Day of Resurrection is the one who ate his fill the most in this world. O Salman! The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever."
