حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ قَالَ: كَتَبَ سَلْمَانُ إِلَى أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ يَا أَخِي لِيَكُنِ الْمَسْجِدُ بَيْتَكَ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «الْمَسْجِدُ بَيْتُ كُلِّ تَقِيٍّ، وَقَدْ ضَمِنَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَنْ كَانَ الْمَسَاجِدُ بُيُوتَهُ الرَّوْحَ، وَالرَّحْمَةَ، وَالْجَوَازَ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ»
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him): "My brother! Make the mosque your house, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'The mosque is the house of every God-fearing person, and Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has guaranteed to the one for whom the mosques are his houses comfort, mercy, and passage over the Bridge (al-Sirat).'"
