حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْحَارِثِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَكُنْ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ السُّوقَ، وَلَا آخِرَ مَنْ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مَعْرَكَةُ - أَوْ قَالَ مَرْبَضُ - الشَّيْطَانِ، وَبِهَا رَايَتُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not be the first to enter the market nor the last to leave it, for it is the battlefield of Satan (or he said: his lair), and there his banner is planted."
