حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ الصُّورِيُّ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْأَرْسُوقِيُّ، ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ، وَقَالَ: «اذْرُوا نِصْفِي فِي الْبَرِّ، وَنِصْفِي فِي الْبَحْرِ»
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), except that it has these words: "Scatter half of me on land and half of me in the sea."
