It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man from among those who were before you had been blessed by Allah with wealth and children. He said to his family: When I die, burn me, and when I have become charcoal, grind me up, then scatter me, for if my Lord gains power over me, He will punish me with a punishment such as He has not given anyone in all the worlds. So they did that. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, gave a command regarding him and he was gathered together, and suddenly he was standing before Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. Allah Almighty asked: What made you do what you did? He said: O my Lord! Fear of You. So Allah forgave him."
