حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا شَعْثَمُ بْنُ أَصِيلٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَصْبَهَانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ الْحَدَثَانِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَخْرِجُوا صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ» وَكَانَ طَعَامُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ الْبُرَّ وَالتَّمْرَ وَالزَّبِيبَ " هَذَا لَفْظُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَخْزَمَ، وَقَالَ شَعْثَمٌ: «وَكَانَ طَعَامُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ التَّمْرَ وَالزَّبِيبَ وَالْأَقِطَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Aws bin al-Hadathan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give the charity of breaking the fast (sadaqat al-fitr) as one sa' of food." And our food at that time was wheat, dates and raisins.
These are the words of Zayd bin Akhzam, while Sha'tham said: "And our food at that time was dates, raisins and dried curd (aqit)."
