Buqayrah, the wife of Salman (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated: When the time of death drew near for Salman (may Allah be pleased with him), he called me while he was in an upper room that had four doors. He said: O Buqayrah! Open these doors, for today I have some visitors coming to me, and I do not know through which of these doors they will enter upon me. Then he asked for some musk of his and said: Dissolve it in a basin, so I did. Then he said: Sprinkle it around my bed, then go down and wait; soon you will look in and see (me) on my bed. I looked in, and his soul had been taken; he was on his bed as though he were asleep, or something to that effect.
