Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 60 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Jibril

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ كَاتِبُ مَالِكٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: لِيَبْكِ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى مَوْتِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril (peace be upon him) said to me: Let Islam weep over the death of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)."
