حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَا: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادٍ السَّرْحِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أُصِيبَ وَجْهُهُ، وَأُصِيبَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ، وَهُشِّمَتْ بَيْضَتُهُ، فَأَتَاهُ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِمَاءٍ فِي مِجَنٍّ، فَأَتَتْ فَاطِمَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، فَغَسَلَتْ عَنْهُ الدَّمَ، وَأَحْرَقَتْ قِطْعَةَ حَصِيرٍ فَجَعَلَتْهُ عَلَى جُرْحِهِ»
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I saw that on the day of Uhud the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was wounded, his front tooth was injured, and his helmet was smashed. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) brought water in a shield, then Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came and washed the blood off him, and she burned a piece of a mat and placed it on his wound."
