حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَمَوْضِعُ سَوْطِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا»
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Setting out in the morning or in the evening in the path of Allah is better than the world and everything in it, and a place in Paradise the size of one of your whips is better than the world and everything in it."
