مبشر بن مكسر شيخ من أهل المدينة نزل البصرة، عن أبي حازم
Mubashshir bin Mukassir, a shaykh of the people of Madinah who settled in Basrah, from Abu Hazim
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 5916 — he said: The Companions of the Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ زَيْدٍ السَّامِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ مُكَسِّرٍ، ثنا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: «كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُصَلُّونَ وَهُمْ مُعْقِدُونَ أُزُرَهُمْ فِي أَرْقَابِهِمْ مِنْ ضِيقِ الْأُزُرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray with their waist-wrappers tied around their necks, because the waist-wrappers were narrow (short)."
