Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 5836 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَاجِيَةَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذا نَابَ أَحَدُكُمْ شَيْءٌ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلْيُسَبِّحْ، فَإِنَّ التَّسْبِيحَ لِلرِّجَالِ، وَالتَّصْفِيقَ لِلنِّسَاءِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When something happens to one of you in his prayer, let him say subhan Allah, for saying subhan Allah is for men and clapping is for women."
