حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: «كَانَتْ مِنَّا امْرَأَةٌ فِينَا تَجْعَلُ فِي مَزْرَعَةٍ لَهَا سِلْقًا، وَكَانَتْ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ، تَنْزِعُ أُصُولَ السِّلْقِ فَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي قِدْرٍ، ثُمَّ تَجْعَلُ عَلَيْهِ قَبْضَةً مِنْ شَعِيرٍ تَطْبُخُهُ، فَيَكُونُ أُصُولُ السِّلْقِ غُرَافَةً» ، قَالَ سَهْلٌ: «فَكُنَّا نَنْصَرِفُ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَنُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهَا، فَتُقَرِّبُ ذَلِكَ الطَّعَامَ إِلَيْنَا، فَكُنَّا نَتَمَنَّى يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ لِطَعَامِهَا ذَلِكَ»
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "There was a woman among us who used to grow chard in her field. When it was Friday, she would pull up the roots of the chard and put them in a pot, then put a handful of barley on it and cook it, and the chard roots would become like a ladle." Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "So after finishing the Jumu'ah prayer we would go to her and greet her with salam, and she would serve that food to us, and we used to long for Friday because of that food of hers."
