Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 5713 — When we performed li'an

Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When we performed li'an (mutual imprecation), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep her with you until she gives birth. If she gives birth to a reddish child, like a wahrah (a small red lizard), then he belongs to his father Uwaymir, who has disowned him; and if she gives birth to a child with a black tongue and black hair, then he belongs to Ibn al-Sahma'" - that is, the man whom he was accused with. Uwaymir said: When she gave birth to him, I brought him, and he appeared before me like a black fur; then I took hold of his jaws, and his tongue appeared before me like a date. So I said: Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.
