حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا بَشَّارُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْخَفَّافُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، ثنا مَسْرُوقُ بْنُ الْمَرْزُبَانِ، قَالَا: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شَفِيعٍ، وَكَانَ طَبِيبًا، قَالَ: قَطَعْتُ مِنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ عِرْقَ النَّسَا، فَحَدَّثَنِي حَدِيثَيْنِ قَالَ: أَتَانِي أَهْلُ بَيْتَيْنِ مِنْ قَوْمِي، فَقَالُوا: كَلِّمْ لَنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقْسِمُ لَنَا مِنْ هَذَا التَّمْرِ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَكَلَّمَتْهُ، فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ نَقْسِمُ لِكُلِّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ شَطْرًا، وَإِنْ عَادَ اللهُ عَلَيْنَا عُدْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ» فَقُلْتُ: جَزَاكَ اللهُ عَنَّا خَيْرًا، قَالَ: «وَأَنْتُمْ فَجَزَاكُمُ اللهُ عَنِّي مَعَاشِرَ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرًا، فَإِنَّكُمْ مَا عَلِمْتُ أَعِفَّةٌ صُبُرٌ، أَمَا إِنَّكُمِ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي»
Ibn Shafi' (may Allah have mercy on him), who was a physician, said: I cut the sciatic vein ('irq al-nasa, the vein of the hip) of Sayyiduna Usayd bin Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he told me two things. He said: The people of two households from my tribe came to me and said: Speak to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on our behalf so that he gives us some of these dates. So I came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and spoke to him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, we will give each household a share, and if Allah gives us more, we will give them more." I said: May Allah reward you with good on our behalf. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And you too, O company of the Ansar! May Allah reward you with good on my behalf, for I know that you are chaste and patient people. Indeed, after me you will see (others) given preference (over you in your rights), so be patient until you meet me."
