Abu Hazim says that he sat beside Iyas bin Sahl al-Ansari, of Banu Sa'idah, in their mosque, and he said: O Abu Hazim, remain devoted to what you were devoted to. Shall I not narrate to you a hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the authority of my father? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That I pray the dawn prayer (Fajr), then sit in a gathering remembering Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, until the sun rises, is dearer to me than charging on swift horses in the path of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
