حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْعَبْشِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ الطَّائِفِيُّ مِنْ وَلَدِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ، ثنا جَدِّي، عَنْ جَدِّهِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ، " أَنَّ أَبَا أُحَيْحَةَ جَدَّهُ كَانَ مَرِيضًا حِينَ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ فِي مَرَضِهِ: لَا تَرْفَعُونِي مِنْ مَضْجَعِي، لَا يَعْدِلُ إِلَيْهِ ابْنُ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ بِمَكَّةَ، فَقَالَ ابْنُهُ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ: اللهُمَّ لَا تَرْفَعْهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that his grandfather Abu Uhayhah was ill when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent with prophethood. He said during his illness: "Do not raise me from my bed; Ibn Abi Kabshah cannot get ahead of me in Makkah." At this his son, who was sitting by his head, said: "O Allah, do not raise him."
