حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ الضُّبَعِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ سَيِّءُ الْهَيْئَةِ، فَقَالَ: «أَلَكَ مَالٌ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَنْوَاعِ الْمَالِ، قَالَ: «فَلْيُرَ عَلَيْكَ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى أَثَرَهُ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ حَسَنًا وَلَا يُحِبُّ الْبُؤْسَ وَالتَّبَاؤُسَ» زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُشَمِيُّ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ "
Sayyiduna Zuhayr bin Abi Alqamah al-Duba'i (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man in a shabby state came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you have wealth?" He said: Yes, wealth of every kind. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then let it be seen upon you, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, loves to see the trace of His blessing upon His servant in a good state, and He does not love destitution or displaying destitution."
