حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِيسَى التَّنُوخِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنٍ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ - وَرُبَّمَا لَمْ يَذْكُرْ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَحْيَى حَيَاتِي وَيَمُوتَ مَوْتَتِي ويَسْكُنَ جَنَّةَ الْخُلْدِ الَّتِي وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي، فَإِنَّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غَرَسَ قَصَبَاتِهَا بِيَدِهِ فَلْيَتَوَلَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ هَدْيِي وَلَنْ يُدْخِلَكُمْ فِي ضَلَالَةٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), and sometimes the narrator did not mention Zayd bin Arqam, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes to live as I live, die as I die, and dwell in the Garden of Eternity which my Lord has promised me, whose plants my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, planted with His own Hand, let him take Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) as his wali (ally), for he will never take you out of my guidance and will never lead you into misguidance."
