Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4974 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Sayyiduna

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَزْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: «بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِيًّا عَامِلًا عَلَى الْيَمَنِ، فَأُتِيَ بِرِكَازٍ فَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ الْخُمُسَ، وَدَفَعَ بَقِيَّتَهُ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْجَبَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as governor over Yemen, and buried treasure (rikaz) was brought to him; he took one-fifth of it and returned the rest to its owner. This reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was pleased with it.
