It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning wiping over leather socks (khuffs): "For the traveller, three days (and three nights), and for the resident, one day and one night (are permitted)."
