حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، أَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَتَاهُ الْأَعْرَابُ، فَقَالُوا: عَلَيْنَا حَرَجٌ فِي كَذَا، عَلَيْنَا حَرَجٌ فِي كَذَا فِي أَشْيَاءَ مِنْ أُمُورِهِمْ لَا بَأْسَ بِهَا؟ فَقَالَ: «عِبَادَ اللهِ، وَضَعَ اللهُ الْحَرَجَ إِلَّا مِنْ رَجُلٍ اقْتَرَضَ مِنْ عِرْضِ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ، فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي حَرَجَ وَهَلَكَ» ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنَتَدَاوَى؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، تَدَاوَوْا فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يُنْزِلْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً غَيْرَ دَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا خَيْرُ مَا أُعْطِيَ الْإِنْسَانُ؟ قَالَ: «خُلُقٌ حَسَنٌ»
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when Bedouins came and said: Is there any harm upon us in such-and-such, in such-and-such, concerning matters of theirs in which there was no harm? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O servants of Allah, Allah has removed harm, except for the one who assails the honour of a Muslim; he is the one who has fallen into harm and is ruined." They said: O Messenger of Allah, should we seek medical treatment? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, seek treatment, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not sent down any disease without also placing its cure, except for one disease." They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the best thing a human being has been given? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good character."
