حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَا: ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَ عَلَى رُءُوسِ أَصْحَابِهِ الطَّيْرُ، فَجَاءَتْهُ الْأَعْرَابُ مِنْ هَهُنَا وَهَهُنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلَيْنَا حَرَجٌ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ عَلَيْنَا حَرَجٌ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عِبَادَ اللهِ، رَفَعَ اللهُ الْحَرَجَ إِلَّا مَنِ اقْتَرَضَ مِنَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ ظُلْمًا فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي حَرَجَ وَهَلَكَ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، نَتَدَاوَى؟ قَالَ: " تَدَاوَوْا فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يُنْزِلْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ دَوَاءً إِلَّا الْهَرَمَ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَمَا خَيْرُ مَا أُعْطِيَ النَّاسُ؟ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ النَّاسَ لَمْ يُعْطَوْا شَيْئًا خَيْرًا مِنْ خُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ»
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Arafat and greeted him with salam, and his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions were sitting so still that it was as if birds were perched on their heads. Then Bedouins began coming from here and there: O Messenger of Allah, is there any harm upon us in such-and-such? Is there any harm upon us in such-and-such? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O servants of Allah, Allah has removed harm, except for the one who unjustly assails (the honour of) a Muslim; he is the one who has fallen into harm and is ruined." They said: O Messenger of Allah, should we seek medical treatment? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek treatment, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not sent down any disease without also placing a remedy for it, except old age." They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the best thing that people have been given? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "People have not been given anything better than good character."
