Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4598 — from his grandfather, Rukanah bin Abd

Abdullah bin Ali bin al-Sa'ib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his grandfather, Rukanah bin Abd Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him), that he divorced his wife with al-battah. He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "What did you mean by it?" He said: One divorce. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Allah, did you mean by it only one divorce?" He said: By Allah, I meant by it only one divorce. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "It is one divorce."
