حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقِ بْنِ جَامِعٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عِبَادٍ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذِي الْمَجَازِ يَتْبَعُ النَّاسَ فِي مَنَازِلِهِمْ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ» ، وَوَرَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ أَحْوَلُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ هَذَا عَنْ دِينِكُمْ وَدِينِ آبَائِكُمْ، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا: عَمُّهُ أَبُو لَهَبٍ
Sayyiduna Rabi'ah bin Ibad (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at Dhul-Majaz, following the people and calling them to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, at their camps. Behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) was a cross-eyed man saying: O people, do not let this man deceive you away from your religion and the religion of your forefathers. So I asked: Who is this? The people said: His uncle, Abu Lahab.
