Abu Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that Sayyiduna Rabi'ah bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that he used to spend the night by the door of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he would hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying at night: "Subhan Allahi Rabbil-'alamin (Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds)" for a long time, then saying: "Subhana Rabbi wa bihamdih (Glory be to my Lord and praise be to Him)" in the same way.
