حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الزُّرَقِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَوَجَدَ النَّاسَ يَتَبَايَعُونَ فَنَادَى: «يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ» فَاسْتَجَابُوا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَرَفَعُوا أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ التُّجَّارَ يُبْعَثُونَ فُجَّارًا إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّقَى وَبَرَّ وَصَدَقَ»
Sayyiduna Rifa'ah bin Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out in Madinah and found the people buying and selling, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) called out: "O assembly of merchants!" They responded to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and raised their eyes towards him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, merchants will be raised as wrongdoers, except the one who fears Allah, acts righteously and speaks the truth."
