حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَهْلٍ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّهُ «كَانَ - بَعْدَمَا أَخْبَرَهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَا أَخْبَرَهُ - إِذَا رَآهُ تَوَعَّدَ وَتَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ، وَرُبَّمَا أَمَرَنَا مَعًا نَحْمِلُهُ حَتَّى نُلْقِيَهُ»
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that it was his practice, after Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah (may Allah be pleased with him) had told him what he told him from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that whenever he saw a (house snake) he would threaten it and advance towards it, and sometimes he would order us to carry it together and throw it (out of the house).
