Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4436 — the Prophet ﷺ said: Good treatment

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّازَّقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ زُفَرَ عَنْ بَعْضِ بَنِي رَافِعِ بْنِ مَكِيثٍ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ مَكِيثٍ، وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «حُسْنُ الْمَلَكَةِ نَمَاءٌ، وَسُوءُ الْخُلُقِ شُؤْمٌ، وَالْبِرُّ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْعُمُرِ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ تَمْنَعُ مَيْتَةَ السُّوءِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Makith (may Allah be pleased with him) - and he was among those present at al-Hudaybiyah - that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good treatment (of those under one's authority) is a source of blessing, bad character is a source of ill fortune, righteousness is a means of increase in lifespan, and charity protects against an evil death."
