هرير بن عبد الرحمن بن رافع بن خديج، عن جده رافع

Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4399 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا هُرَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِبِلَالٍ: «نَوِّرْ بِالْفَجْرِ قَدْرَ مَا يُبْصِرُ الْقَوْمُ مَوَاقِعَ نَبْلِهِمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): "Lead the Fajr prayer when it has become light enough that the people can see where their arrows fall."
