حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ أَوْ مَلَكٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: كَيْفَ تَعُدُّونَ أَهْلَ بَدْرٍ فِيكُمْ؟ قَالَ: «هُمْ أَفَاضِلُ النَّاسِ» قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: وَكَذَلِكَ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ
Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Jibril (peace be upon him) - or an angel - came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: How do you regard the people of Badr among you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are the most excellent of people." Jibril (peace be upon him) said: Likewise those of the angels who took part in Badr (are the most excellent).
