Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4344 — My two maternal uncles came to us

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ: رَاحَ إِلَيْنَا خَالَايَ فَقَالَا: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَنَا نَافِعًا، وَطَاعَةُ اللهِ وَطَاعَةُ رَسُولِهِ لَنَا أَنْفَعُ قَالَ: «مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ»
Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) said: My two maternal uncles came to us in the evening and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden us from something that was beneficial to us, but obedience to Allah and His Messenger is more beneficial to us. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it himself or give it to his brother."
