حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ بُرْدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُؤَاجِرُ أَرْضَهُ حَتَّى حَدَّثَهُ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ كَرْيِ الْأَرْضِ» فَتَرَكَ ذَلِكَ
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to rent out his land until Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade renting out land, so he gave that up.
