Nafi, the freed slave of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), from Rafi (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 4294 — I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: «كُنَّا نُكْرِي أَرْضَنَا» حَتَّى سَمِعْنَا حَدِيثَ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: "We used to rent out our land" until we heard the hadith of Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
